Discovering new labels is one of the favourite things about my job and the more I wander the more things seem to come my way. One of my most recent fashion finds was ‘Magali Pascal‘, a bohemian lux label created by a french expat of the same name. Launched in 2004, Magali’s designs are a fusion of french elegance and Bali’s bohemian sprit, with pieces that use luscious silks, organic fabrics, embellishments and oh so much beautiful lace.
Magali has 3 beautiful boutiques in Bali and has a soon to be opened boutique in Sydney… On our trip I collaborated with the brand, allowing me to choose my favourite pieces from her collection, which you can see here. It wasn’t easy choosing what to shoot, because everything was just beautiful.
The cotton candy sky & morning light of Seminyak beach, reflecting water from black sand looked picture perfect. There’s a pretty funny story to how we almost didn’t get any of these shots. We woke up at 4:30am to get ready and onto our scooter to Seminyak beach in order to arrive at sunrise. Around a kilometre away from the beach Soll says we should probably get fuel on the way back and in that exact moment the scooter engine stopped and our fuel was out. So there I was at 5am, hair and makeup done, bare foot in a lace maxie dress on the side of Balinese street. All we could do is laugh whilst both running and pushing the scooter as quick as we could, not to miss the brief & beautiful sunrise. I love traveling, the memories I’ve been making lately make me not want to stop wandering any time soon.
